Position: Officer/ Senior Officer

Department: Trade Finance

Job Location: Dhaka

Job Responsibilities

• The candidate should have well conversant in foreign exchange operations, Letter of Credit or documentary credits, Export & Import including post-import and pre/post export finance.
• The candidate should have ability of checking export/import document, lodgments, bills settlement, collections and bill purchasing/discounting, endorsement and necessary follow ups, releasing export/import documents independently.
• Candidate should have sufficient and practical knowledge regarding LC opening, disbursement, realization of payments; regular follow up for recover of bills on maturity and thereafter; LC acceptance confirmation; Advising of LCs; transfer Processing of LCs; SWIFT operations; keeping all records thereof.
• The candidate should have fair knowledge on Foreign Exchange Guidelines (Vol- 1 & 2), Import and Export Policy, UCPDC-600, ISBP and price behaviors of commodities in foreign and local markets, processing of all kinds of documentary Credit and conduct related functions.
• The candidate should be able to communicate with client on discrepancies of bills and ensure completeness of the documents.

Educational Qualification & Other Competencies

• Graduation, preferably in Business, Economics, Bank Management or related subject
• Minimum Three (3) years of experience in reputed Banks; minimum Two (2) years of experience in Trade Finance department
• Must be technically sound and well conversant in relevant regulatory policies, guidelines
• Knowledge in the area of Trade Based Money Laundering will be an added advantage
• Should be proactive, innovative and energetic.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skill and leadership quality is much desired.

• Candidate having third Division/Class in his/her academic carrier, need not to apply.
