In pursuit of our relentless growth, we are looking for a smart, energetic and result-oriented team member for our existing team in the following position:

Position: Head of Retail Foods Operations

Vacancy: 01

Job context:

  • As the Head of Retail Foods Operations, you will be instrumental in the opening of our new fresh stores and managing the day-to-day operations of these stores in Dhaka. You will lead and develop a team of sales associates to achieve sales goals, deliver superior customer service, and drive profitability. You will plan and lead the activities of all stores within the assigned area of operation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manages all new store’s opening and operations initiatives and ensure that execution is aligned with our company standards.
  • Responsible for achieving sales, service, customer satisfaction and profitability goals. Protection of company assets through loss prevention and expense efficiencies.
  • Develops new store’s management and staff through appropriate coaching, supporting, delegating, and mentoring to maximize performance.
  • Tracks, reports, and analyzes sales, inventory, and other operational sales data and makes recommendations to proactively identify and address areas of opportunity.
  • Creates and manages all in-store operational guidelines and standards so that they remain in line with the company’s “best practices”.
  • Works closely with HQ to ensure new product rollouts, floor changes, and out of stocks are timely communicated, followed up on, and executed.
  • Work in tandem with HQ in the setting of staffing levels and development of the teams.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure smooth and efficient transportation of poultry products.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to gather market intelligence and customer feedback. Use this information to forecast demand for poultry products accurately. Develop demand planning strategies to ensure sufficient product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for distribution operations. Monitor and analyze distribution performance metrics such as on-time delivery, fill rate, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing the distribution of poultry products. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product freshness, hygiene, and safety throughout the distribution process.
  • Manage and motivate a team of distribution professionals. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance team effectiveness.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor degree in any discipline.

Experience Requirements: Minimum 12 year(s) of retail management experience in a fast-growing multi-unit retail operation.

Technical competencies:

  • Understand organization internal control environment.
  • Knowing how risks can be treated with appropriate controls, in line with the organization’s risk management strategy and policies on internal control.
  • Knowing the principles of the segregation of duties to ensure that incompatible duties are properly segregated, so that no individual has total control over a transaction.
  • Being able to implement and apply controls, monitor their effectiveness, and deal with any insufficiently covered risks, as well as with possible control weaknesses or failures.

Job Location: Dhaka.
