Position: Subject Teacher (Bangla /Arabic language & Islamic studies etc.)
Nature of Job: Full Time
Reporting to: Coordinator/Head of Department/Section Head/Vice Principal
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably in an English Medium Islamic School.
- Candidates with professional teaching qualification (i.e. B.Ed/ Cambridge Celta/ Cambridge Delta/ Cambridge CDiTL/CCiTL/ TKT/iPLS CPD Courses/Cambridge certificate courses/ British Council certificate courses) will be preferred.
- Proficiency in the subject area being taught.
- Experience in teaching at the relevant grade level or subject area.
- Knowledge of curriculum standards and educational best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Subject Teacher:
- Prepare and deliver lessons to students in the assigned subject area.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
- Assess student learning through various forms of assessment, such as tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their work to support their academic growth.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
- Utilize educational technology and online resources to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest educational research and best practices in the subject area.
- Participate in professional development activities and workshops to improve teaching skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.
- Provide additional support or remediation to students who require extra assistance.

Position: Section Head (Primary Section)
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Vice Principal in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school.
- Help implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth functioning of the school.
- Assist in monitoring the academic performance of the students and supporting teachers in achieving academic excellence.
- Work with teachers to create and implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Support teachers in creating and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help with the recruitment, orientation, and professional development of teachers.
- Work with the administrative team to manage budgets, resources, and facilities.
- Assist in maintaining effective communication between the school and parents, community members, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that the school is adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Help promote the vision and mission of Averroes International School.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Education or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably in an English Medium Islamic School.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bengali.
- A thorough understanding of the curriculum and pedagogy.
- A commitment to the Islamic ethos of the school.
