The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh is a government agency under the Ministry of Commerce, established in 1975 to promote and develop the nation’s export sector. Its headquarters is located in Dhaka, with regional offices in Chittagong, Khulna, and Rajshahi, and branch offices in Sylhet, Comilla, and Narayanganj .​

Vision and Mission

• Vision: To enhance the role of the export sector in Bangladesh’s economic development through sustained growth, aiming to transform EPB into a model export development organization in South Asia.​

• Mission: To expedite export-related activities by modernizing institutional capabilities, focusing on product development, diversification, and market expansion, while providing efficient services to exporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulating and implementing export policies and programs.

• Coordinating and monitoring national export performance.

• Conducting market research and promoting exportable products.

• Organizing participation in international trade fairs and exhibitions.

• Providing training and technical assistance to exporters.

• Administering export incentives and certifications.

Notable Initiatives

• Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF): An annual event organized by EPB, showcasing a wide range of products from Bangladesh and abroad. The fair is held from January to February each year at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal.
