Proyash Institute of Special Education and Research (PISER) is a leading institution in Bangladesh dedicated to the education and support of individuals with special needs. Established on June 2, 2013, under the patronage of the Bangladesh Army, PISER operates as an affiliate of the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).

Mission and Objectives: PISER aims to address the critical need for qualified professionals, educators, and therapists specializing in the education and rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities. The institute is committed to promoting research and offering comprehensive programs in special education and related fields.

Academic Programs: PISER offers a diverse range of programs designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to support individuals with special needs. The programs include:

• Bachelor of Science in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BScASLP): A 5-year program, including a 1-year internship, totaling 141 credits.

• Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Special & Inclusive Education (BEd-Hons): A 4-year program requiring 123 credits.

• Master of Science in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (MScASLP): A 2-year program comprising 75 credits.

• Master of Special Education (MSED): A 1-year program with 60 credits.

• Post Graduate Diploma in Speech Language Therapy & Audiology (PGDSLT): A 1-year program totaling 60 credits.

• Certificate on Disability Management & Education (CDMED): A 4-month program with 20 credits.

• Certificate on Disability Management & Education Executive (CDMEDE): A 4-month program requiring 20 credits.

• Post Graduate Bachelor of Special Education (BSED): A 1-year program comprising 55 credits.

• Audiology Technician Course: A 6-month program.

These programs are designed to provide comprehensive education and training in special education and related fields.
