Red Sea Gateway Terminal Chittagong Job Circular,

Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT), a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Gateway Terminal International (RSGTI), has been awarded a 22-year concession to operate the newly constructed Patenga Container Terminal (PCT) at Chittagong Port, Bangladesh’s primary seaport. This agreement, finalized in December 2023, marks RSGT’s inaugural international venture, leveraging its extensive expertise in port operations.

RSGT has published new job circular as below details:-

The Patenga Container Terminal is equipped with a 580-meter quay and spans over 200,000 square meters, featuring a 9.5-meter draft. Initially, it is designed to handle geared vessels with an annual capacity of 250,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units), with plans to expand to 500,000 TEU upon the installation of advanced equipment, including four Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes and Rubber-Tired Gantry cranes.

This development aims to enhance Chittagong Port’s capacity to accommodate the growing demand for container handling, thereby supporting Bangladesh’s robust trade and economic growth. The partnership between RSGT and the Chittagong Port Authority is expected to introduce modern technologies and operational efficiencies, positioning the terminal as a pivotal gateway for international trade in the region.
